Proud Moments at the YVR Vancouver Airport Hackathon
I am thrilled to share a recent accomplishment that fills me with immense pride. My team Lalaisland secured the second position at the YVR Vancouver Airport Hackathon, a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and perseverance.
The hackathon was centered around the grand vision of YVR's Net Zero 2030. It was an honor to contribute our ideas and work towards this ambitious goal. The challenge we decided to tackle involved addressing the airport's lighting issues. Our aim was to develop a sustainable, cost-effective solution that minimizes unnecessary light usage without impacting the airport's operations.
We turned to Computer Vision technology for our solution, showcasing how innovative technology can play a crucial role in the journey towards sustainability. This experience served as a reminder of the transformative potential of technology when it comes to addressing real-world problems.
I am deeply appreciative of the insightful feedback and encouragement we received from the panel of judges. Their suggestions will undoubtedly guide us as we continue to refine and improve our system.
The successful completion of our system and report is a testament to the active collaboration and hard work of all team members. I consider myself fortunate to be part of such a dedicated team.
This achievement is a shining example of what we can accomplish when we combine our efforts and embrace innovation. I am excited about what the future holds for us as we continue to explore and push the boundaries of what's possible.
